Our most recent addition to the Tar Heel Family

Welcome, Welcome, Welcome

Lauren is now 4+ years old-we need a new picture, Grandma.

We are Tar Heels born

And Tar Heels bred

And when we die

We are Tar Heels dead!

Not much has changed - still friends after 56 years!

Can you name these beauties?

Brian Caldwell and daughter Juliette (Rieman's son and granddaughter). Sooooo handsome and cute.

Connie at her son Matt's wedding. A beautiful mother of the Groom!

Sharon and granddaughters.   Great picture, Sharon.  Hard to tell which one is the Grandma!

Kay and Helen sharing the love of 55+ years of friendship.  Doesn't get any better.

UNC SON 2016 Distinguished Alumna Award Recipient Connie Newnam Parker

Supporting Connie on her big day are Anne Moody Barnett, Karen Hopkins Harrison, Dolly Isom Daniel and Ellen Solomon.  You make us all proud, Connie.

“Think where man's glory
Most begins and ends
And say my glory was
That I had such friends.”

― W.B. Yeats

Thank you each and everyone for being you and for being my friend.

Memories just keep on coming!  50th Reunion at the beach house.

Above, old friends Anne Moody and Sharon Kennedy

Below, how many nurses does it take to clean up a spill?  Better yet,how many nurses does it take to create a spill followed by a duplicate spill! :-)

Sharing old memories are Dolly, Nancy Ray, and JoAnn

Still friends after all these years - Karen, Ann Maxwell, Kathy Epstein (non-nursing), Dolly and Kay

Kay and Connie enjoying the moment as they once again "walk" for graduation fifty years after the original walk.

Remember when...

And then there was...?

What were we talking about?  Ummmmm...Hard to remember that long ago!

Almost 35 years ago at our 15th Reunion.  There is still time to join us for our 50th!  Come see how many of us still look the same! smiley

There is no stopping the beauties in this class!  Know this one?

And the beautiful ones just keep coming!  You must know this one!

laughAnother classmate looking GREAT!  Who says we are getting old?  No one!!!  You have to guess this one or come see her in person at the Reunion.  I will post her name once someone gets it!  GOOD JOB, CONNIE.  IT IS TINA!

Looking GOOD after all these years!  Join us in our 50th reunion and reconnect  with other classmates as well as with Nancy!

Your 50th Reunion Committee hard at work!

Dolly, Karen and Anne take a break from all the reunion planning!

Old friends, good times.

Old friends never change - we just get a little older and a lot wiser.

We also learn to talk a little more so that everyone knows just where we are coming from!  In case there was ever a doubt!

Dorelle Toan Ueki

I am looking for a picture that is not missing Ann Palmatier, Joan Piland and Nancy Ray like the one above.  This is straight from the yearbook on-line; sorry.  Perhaps Nancy was still "under the Hood" at the Order of the Old Lampshades.

Can you believe Nancy Ray was the "Head Bulb"!!!

Hi Everyone:  laugh

I hope this finds each and every one of you well.  As you all know, we will be celebrating FIFTY (50) YEARS since graduation in 2015 and it is time for us to start planning some really special events to share.  If we have the reunion in Chapel Hill, UNC will have special recognition for certain classes, but, in addition, I think we should have some activities unique to our class - the sky should be the limit when planning and if I remember correctly, some of our classmates (not me, of course) will have no problem in planning some unusual celebrations.

For starters, we are thinking of having a big birthday bash for all of us; as Rieman so aptly put it, "we all have a birthday sometime," so lets all celebrate together!  Any thoughts or input are welcome as always.

We also need to address accommodations.  Karen started the ball rolling on this - please see "Accommodations 2015 Survey" to the left and respond if you have not already done so.  If we want to stay together, we must address this now or we will not be able to find space that will fit all of us.

We are also preparing for our beach reunion in Spring 2014.  In addition to having an indescribable good time, we will also utilize that time for planning/tweaking plans for the 50th in 2015.  PLEASE try to join us then as well.  Details will follow in a few months.  You will not regret it!!!

I can already feel the excitement building, so let's all jump on the band wagon and enjoy the planning as well as the ultimate event.

With love and best wishes to all,

This is "our" house.  Great memories created here while renewing 50 year old friendships!

Nothing beats it!!cool
